Gone Cold
Love was there, but not really
You were there, but not really
I was enjoying the warmth of your presence
And yet I’m feeling the coldness of your silence
Your kiss still sweet just like before
But your passion for me shows no more.
I’ve tried to kill my untiring doubts
Preventing apprehensions reach my mouth
Believing suspicions are products of mind
Dangerous as to committing crimes
Left to settle for ignorance
Resolving to utmost tolerance
But it haunts me once again
And this time, much evident-
Signs getting clearer
As things get bitter;
Then it finally comes to me
That we have to set each other free
And that thing between us,
Gone cold didn’t last.
