If a picture truly is worth a thousand words, how many novels do you think Shania Twain would be responsible for?
She has endured her share of knocks -- from feminists who recoil at her sexy image, from country traditionalists who rail about her music -- not country, they cry. Too crossover.
Well, there's just one problem with the criticism: Obviously, Shania's giving the fans what they want. She is beautiful, and she is a talented performer, and folks who buy albums -- or purchase magazines with her picture on the cover, or buy the products she endorses -- obviously don't seem to consider her too sexy or not traditional enough.
She's an entertainer. And she entertains. So enough with the snide remarks. |
