![]() on Lessons 31 and 32 1. Name the two casting methods we recently talked about in class. (5 hp) We learned about the casting methods Random Dump and Casting the Norns. 2. Which casting method uses only three runes? (5 hp) The Casting the Norns method uses only three runes. 3. How is this casting method done? (5 hp) After placing a white cloth in front of you and shaking the runes a bit, three runes are drawn from the pouch of runes one at a time and placed in a row. If any of the three runes are drawn face down, they are turned over like a page of a book. They are read from left to right, in the order drawn out of the pouch. 4. Which casting method could use all of the runes? How is it done? (5 hp) The Random Dump method could use all of the runes. First, we set out our white cloth on the ground. Next, we concentrate on a question as we place our hand inside and stir the runes a bit. We pick up a handful of runes. We toss them onto the white cloth. Some will land face down and some will land with the runes showing. Ignoring the runes that landed face down, we would read on the ones with the rune symbols showing. 5. Which casting method is connected with Norse history? Explain why. (3 hp) The Casting the Norns method is connected with Norse history. The runeset we are learning about are of Norse origin. The Norns are the three Norse Goddesses of Fate. These are of Past, Present, and Future. Fate was important to the Ancient Norse. The three runes drawn represent the Norns: Past, Present, Future. The runes are drawn to represent the past, present, and future of your question. 6. Which casting method is more difficult to get an answer from than the other? Explain why. (2 hp) The Random Dump method is more difficult to get an answer from because the runes are drawn randomly and how they land can determine various interpretations of the answer to your question. |
