QUIZ

on Lessons 29 and 30

1. During a rune reading, what is addressed? (5 pts)

A particular issue is addressed during a rune reading.
It's past, present, and future is examined as well as the question,
'what will happen?' is asked.

2. Describe how you would prepare to do a runecasting. (5 pts)

First, find a place where you won't be disturbed. Try to sit facing North if possible, fore the runes are Norse. Place a small white cloth in front of you. The cloth is for working with the runes and for protecting them from getting dirty. Form a question in your mind. Take your time. It's very important that you not change your question during the reading because it will effect your reading. The results will not be correct. Once the question is firmly in your mind, gently mix the runes in your container. As you concentrate on your question, draw the number of runes you need. Be sure to pick the ones you feel drawn to. Stir and continue to draw runes until you have the correct number of runes in front of you for the layout you are doing. Keep track of the order the runes are pulled, laying them in order.

3. Describe how you would do a One-Rune Casting. (5 pts)

You would first prepare yourself by finding a quiet spot where you wouldn't be disturbed. You would sit facing North and lay out a white cloth in front of you. Next, you would carefully think of a question you would need an answer to. After that question is firmly in your head, you would concentrate on it as you shook your bag of runes. You would draw one rune from your bag of runes that you would feel drawn to and place it on the cloth as you drew it. Depending on whether it was right side up or reversed or if it couldn't be reversed, you would determine what the rune meant. Based on the meanings of the rune, you would determine the answer to your question

4. True or False: You can change your question during your reading. (5 pts)

False

5. What is the important thing you must remember when reading runes? (3 pts)

Runes are obscure, that is, each rune could mean different things. It is up to the caster to determine how the meanings apply to the question. It's possible to get gut feelings for deeper interpretations. Beginners should stick to the recognized meanings of the runes, but learn to expand on the meanings through gained insight and meditation.

6. What type of Runecasting group is One-Rune casting? (2 pts)

Simple.
