The School's I've Attended........
St Columba's School.......the beginning of my schooling life

In the year 1989 I was admitted to St. Columba's as a kindergarden student with my teacher being the Mrs. (Angel) Prakash. At that time I didnt know that I had been admitted in to a special institution in Delhi which was so much different from others. Being a Christian Brother's institution we had moral science periods right from class K.G to uptill class 12 !!

Academically , I was better off than most of my class mates. I remember getting full marks in most of the tests and then Ma'am giving a Kingsize star in my notebook which I was expected to colour before the next submission.

Year after year I pogressed with the following class teachers : Class 1 : Mrs Ganga Malhotra, Class 2 : Mrs Singh , Class 3: Mrs Kundra. Class 4: Mrs Mitra, Class 5 : Mrs. Shaw, Class 6 : Mrs D'Souza

At the end of my seventh academic year at St Columba's my Dad decided to shift to Mumbai and I had no other option but to leave Columba's . It was a sad farewell......

Welham se mulaqaat........Four Years of Stay at Paradise!

I was quite sad about having to quit St Columba's School after spending 7 years at that place. My Dad had shifted to Mumbai and put me into this boarding school called Welham Boys' School at Dehradun. My initial days at this school were full of home sickness and frustration. I wasnt used to staying alone at all. Apart from that the ragging I was made to undergo caused anxiety.

But as the years passed by I was moulded into a Welhamite and now even I became part of the lot who used to rag newcomers and juniors. I started loving this school so much that I used to virtually hate holidays. This school was truly a home away from home and the time spent here will neevr be forgotten by me.
Welham was so much different from any other school . To cite an example,  we had a college like system of attending lectures, that is the students used to float from one room to another for various lectures against the commom convention of teachers coming to a classroom to teach the students.

The school had so much to offer, one could practically learn anything at that place, ranging from music(Indian classical and Western) to sports and Computer programming to car maintenance !!!
We composed this one:

Worlds and Worlds apart,
There is a Place,
People call it Paradise,
We Call it WELHAM!

At the end of class 10th I decided to leave Welham due to certain unavoidable circumstances. However the four years I spent there were memorable..........WELHAM, I LOVE YOU.

Re-Union with Columba's
After leaving Welham after 10th I fortunately manged to regain admission in my alma-mater. It was good getting in touch with old friends again, but the Welham-sickness haunted me. AFter studying in a boarding school it was tough to re-adjust with the day school life. However two years passed by without much happening, except the regular sport events and school events. WIth the coming of January 2001 school life came to an end with an emotional farewell at Columba's. Everybody had one question to ask " Who says boys dont cry ? "
