My name is Debbi Oeltjen, I am located in Keizer, Oregon, just north of Salem-- Oregon's capital city. We are in the heart of the Mid-Willamette Valley USDA Zone 8, Sunset Zone 6. We enjoy a temperate climate with mild wet winters and mild summers. |

Because of the mild temps, our growing season is prolonged. Greenhouse and nursery production is Oregon's #1 Agricultural Industry. |

I became "obsessed" with container and cottage gardening within the last several years. I had a high stress career prior to that and never had time to persue that lingering desire to grow flowers. When I finally left that stressful situation, I discovered the peace and joy that nature so easily provides. |

After that first season I was hooked! But I also spent alot of money on plants and pots. I decided I needed to learn to grow my own plants from cuttings and seeds, so I enrolled in a greenhouse/nursery practices course at our local community college. That started the greenhouse "obsession". |
