Kilted Star's Stage Blunder
POP hunk Darius proved he was a true Scotsman last night - when he flashed his credentials on stage.

The kilted singer didn't realise he was letting it all hang out when he went down on one knee to sing to a fan.

For the sake of decency, the Record have spared the strapping star's blushes by crossing out his blunder.

But our photographer was stunned by the eyeful.

He said: "I couldn't believe my eyes when I realised he was letting it all hang out.

"He would have been totally mortified if he'd known we could see everything."

Pop Idol finalist Darius, from Bearsden, Glasgow, had almost predicted his slip-up at the Box Live Tour concert at Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium.

Speaking before the gig, sponsored by Skittles, he had boasted that he wore nothing under his kilt - but said he would keep himself to himself.

Darius said: "I'm a true Scot and that's why I'm keeping my legs together. You don't want to see my skittles."

He had been persuaded to don the tartan by a text vote held minutes before he headed on stage.

The fans overwhelmingly voted to see the heart-throb in his national dress rather than an open-necked shirt.

But his sudden exposure meant he even out-cheeked fellow performers The Cheeky Girls, who took to the stage in skimpy cheerleader outfits to sing their hits Touch My Bum and Take Your Shoes Off.

Also wowing the crowd were Popstar: The Rivals winners Girls Aloud, 888, Lemonescent and ex-Five singer Abs.

But the impressive line-up failed to help the show sell out.

Organisers blamed recent appearances at the same venue by some of the acts.
