| Despite winning 1.2 million votes, Darius just couldn't compete with the mighty Will and Gareth and didn't make it to the Pop Idol final. But the 21-year-old Scot remained as optimistic as ever. 'I once said my dream was to have a platinum album by the age of 35. Over a million people voted for me and if those votes were translated into album sales, I'd have my platinum album already!' Darius has vowed never to audition on television again and said he's not going to rush into anything. 'I want to learn a bit about production and song writing before I release a single,' he said.
