Last week, when Rik Waller went down with a throat infection, Darius was told he might be back on the show. 'I got a call late last Thursday night asking me to come and rehearse,' he says. 'I couldn�t believe it. I was at University so I just had to drop everything and head straight down to London.'
This week Rik dramatically pulled out of the show and so Darius took his place. 'It�s all been very surreal,� says the handsome Scot. 'It�s like a dream. I really thought it was all over for me.'
Saturday�s show was his first experience of singing live on TV so he was understandably nervous. 'By the time I got out there, I just enjoyed it and I think it went really well. When I heard I was going through to next week, it was just fantastic. I�m the happiest, luckiest boy in Britain!'
