Sargeant Family: John Henry Stephen Sargeant born abt 1840 possibly in Brimpsfield,Gloucester,England. His father was John Sargeant. John H S Sargeant married Rhoda Jones 25 Jan 1858 in Brimpsfield,England. They had a son, John Sargeant born 26 Aug 1860 in Glouchestershire, Parish of Bisley, England. The marriage ended in divorce and Rhoda took her son John with her. No other information on this line.

• Bennion Family
: Rhoda Jones born 5 Nov 1840 in Brimpsfield, Candle Green,England immigrated to Utah with her son John, her father, William and her sister Elizabeth on the vessel John Bright in 1868. They travel by Captain Murdock ox team to Utah and settled in Henefer, Summit, UT. Rhoda then moved to Salt Lake City and married Samuel Bennion 25 Oct 1868,in the Salt Lake City Endowment House, she being his second wife. Samuel was born 11 Dec 1818 in Moore, Hawarden, Flint, Wales. Rhoda and Samuel had six children: Wilford, Leonore, Robert,Rhoda,Naomi and Arthur. Samuel died 9 Sep 1889 Taylorsville, SLC, UT, he his buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake, UT. Rhoda died 5 Feb 1914, in Taylorsville, SLC, UT at the Bennion Farm, and is buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, SLC, UT

Her painting is also in the RioGrande Station in Salt Lake City, UT. Rhoda's portrait was donated by Zora B Bennion
Click here to see the painting of The Bennion Farm The Bennion Farm was owned by Samuel Bennion. Rhoda Jones Bennion lived in the home after Samuel's first wife Mary Bushel died. Samuel commissioned Danquart Anthon Weggeland to paint the home. The farm was located in Taylorsville, UT, but was hit by lightening and burned down. The Bennion family donated this painting to the Historical Society at the RioGrande Station in Salt Lake City, Utah.

:Our Noakes lineage begins with Thomas Nokes chr 1668 in Ticehurst, Sussex, England. He married a Mary ? <1672 in Ticehurst, Sussex, England>. Their son was Zebulon born 7 Apr 1689/1695 in Udimore, Sussex, England. He married Elizabeth Ketchley 4 May 1720 in St. Clements, Hastings, Sussex, England. Their son Thomas Richard born 1728 in Udimore, Sussex, England married Mary Susans in 1753 in Udimore, Sussex, England. Their son William marreid Elizabeth Honice 1 Apr 1775 in Udimore, Sussex, England. Their son Thomas Noakes is our Utah Pioneer ancester.
