3 more days, be 6 mths old. Both ears down. This was taken two days after his surgery of being 'fixed', micro-chipped and having four baby teeth pulled. Keeping fingers crossed they will both rise again.
Here are some shots of some extra tan features I have on my body, known as "Extensions". There is tan on my left behind and the back of my right elbow. This is typically not seen. The tan under my tail, is common for my coloring.

In conclusion: Zachary has VERY full and large ears. Although I am giving him cottage cheese and vitamins to help the 'ear leather' become stronger, there are no promises his right ear may ever rise fully again. To increase your chances of ears being erect, 'taping' is done when they are very young. (Before 3 1/2 mths) Through contacts, advice and experience from other sources, it is possible for Papillons to have only one erect ear. (Even if both parents ears are standing) His right ear does stand when he has his head tilted back. He can/could also be amoung the Papillons that are known to be "Soft Eared". I still hope the right ear may stand, for it has been noted that sometimes with large eared Papillons, it can take longer for the ear leather to become strong enough to stand. REVISED: Right ear standing at 7 months! He remains precious and special to me regardless of his ear stance. For the character and love he shows, can never be matched!!
