The Independent Live Steamers are a group of men and women who build 1" and 1-1/2" Scale Trains. Although the majority of the members are scattered across The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, there are several other members located in other states as well. Climb aboard and sit on back and enjoy the ride through the pages of the Independent Live Steamers.
The trains we run are 1/8 the size of the prototype engines that they were modeled after. The rails we run on are 7-1/2" apart.
The trains that you will be looking at our built after their bigger sisters and look alike. These engines take a couple of years to build them. Each engine is scratch built from the beginning.
