Chapter 1
Amy sighed, this wasn't the first time that she thought about stopping her job. At the time the job didn't seem that worse, okay, she rather had been a journalist by a paper or something, but nobody except for the gossip magazines wanted her, so she took the job.
Normally she would never take a job like that, but she was in money problems, she didn't even had enough money to pay the rent of this week, so there was no other choice then taking the job, and working by a gossip magazine paid very well. She wanted the job for a while, until she found something better and her money problems were solved. She kept holding herself that promise, although it was already a year and a half later.
The only reason she kept the job was because she needed the money, she didn't like her job, she hated it. She hated the stories she wrote about celebrities, she hated the pictures she made of celebrities, she hated it to sneak into their lives, just because she loved her private life just as much as the loved theirs.
She sat down against a wall of the parking lot and dropped her camera next to her. Amy didn't look to the camera, she hoped that she was brave enough to let the camera here, where it was laying peacefully on the ground. She knew that as soon as the camera was on the office it would ruin at least two people's life, and she didn't want that, because it would be all her fault.
She wanted that she didn't left her house for shopping, she wanted that she didn't park her car in the same parking lot as Sean did, she wanted that she didn't had seen him, she wanted that she didn't made the pictures of him kissing his girlfriend, she wanted that she didn't made pictures of them kissing, she wanted that she didn't had run away when they had seen her, she wanted that this day has never happened.
This wasn't all that bad, it was her job, she did it everyday, and although she hated her job, it wasn't the worst part.
Sean was the worst part.
Sean was the reason why she felt miserable.
It was normal for her to follow celebrities and to make their life public, but it wasn't normal for her to write a story about one of her ex-friends. She was happy that nobody at her work knew that she and Sean had been friends, she knew almost sure that they would make her tell everything about him.
It didn't matter anymore anyways, they lost contact one and an half year ago, when she started the job and Sean found out about it.
The only thing he did the first half an hour when he discovered about her job was yelling at her and when he was finished he ran off, hoping that he never would see her again. She didn't do anything else as crying at first, but she fully understood him. It wasn't save for someone like him to stay friends with someone like her.
She let a tear drop at the remembering of loosing Sean as a friend, it was one of the hardest moments of her life and she hoped that something like that would never happen again.
Amy looked next to her when she heard some noise and she was surprised to see Sean sitting next to her. He was looking to her camera and he looked sad and disappointed, like he just had discovered something he rather didn't want to know.
" I see that you still haven't changed your job"
It sounded like a question, like he wanted her to say he wasn't right.
" I'm sorry"
It was more whisper, but it was all he needed to know
" Tell me Amy, for who are you sorry? For all the people who have no private life anymore because of you? For me, because you didn't do what I hoped you would do? Or for yourself, because you always have act like a friend towards people like me, to get a story out of them, just like you're doing now?"
She was shocked, what was he thinking? She would never do something like that, it was so mean of him to say something like that!
She knew that she had to be strong now, she knew that if he saw her hurt look and the tears in her eyes he would knew he had won and that was the last thing she wanted so she raised her voice.
" No Sean, I'm not sorry for that, I'm sorry for you, that you had to loose a friend because of her job, I'm sorry for myself, that I had to take such a low job to be able to have a house, clothes and food and I'm sorry for the people without a private life, just because other people get paid for it"
Sean was staring at her and it scared Amy when she saw his dangerous look.
" Are you searching for another job?"
" I'm truly sorry to say no"
" I hope that you'll understand what I'm going to do now..."
Sean took the camera and walked away.
" Goodbye Amy..."
