Chapter 7
The three boys grinned when they saw Ritchie, who was still very sleepy.
� Rich, what did you do with the poor girl? Take this advice: stay away of her, what did you do with her man?�
� Very funny J, I hope that you guys didn�t treat her like I know you�re going to do with me�
He looked in three guilty faces.
� You did, didn�t you? I can�t believe you guys!�
� She was supposed to get to know us, wasn�t she?�
� Now she knows you, but leave her alone please�
� Since when are you so protective?�
� What do you mean? I always have been like this�
� No, you�re not�
� Yes, I�m�
� No, you�re not�
� OMG, boys, do you know what I think?�
They looked surprised to Sean, who was standing behind them.
� He likes her!�
They looked strangely at him, but when they saw the look on Ritchie�s face they knew it was true.
� He�s right, Ritchie you like her? I can�t believe it, yesterday you couldn�t stand her and now you like her?!�
� Shh, keep it quiet, would you? I don�t want her to hear it, because I�m not sure jet and well � it�s not like she wants me�
� I wouldn�t say that, she wouldn�t have slept so close to you if she didn�t like you�
� Yeah, maybe, but still, it�s to soon to say if I really like her, I mean � I barely know her�
They heard a door open and they all looked to Susan.
� What? Did they give you a hard time also Ritchie?�
She looked to Ritchie and was surprised when she saw the look in his eyes. She didn�t know what the look in his eyes meant so she looked to the others and it surprised her even more when she saw the same look on their faces.
� Okay, what�s wrong? Do I have something in my hair?�
She looked again to the boys when they didn�t say anything back and saw that they still had the same look, but with a small difference, she saw some confusion too.
� So it isn�t my hair. What�s wrong then?�
They still didn�t reply and Susan didn�t understand them, why wouldn�t they say anything?
� Boys, stop it, if you don�t say anything I�ll walk out of the bus and then I wouldn�t be any use anymore�
She was surprised and confused when Sean and Ritchie began to laugh, she saw that the other three boys were just as confused as she was.
� Susan, you smart ass, we aren�t driving anymore�
She looked down and embarrassed.
� I did know that�
� Yeah right, and the queen is my mom�
� Okay, I didn�t know that. But since we aren�t driving anymore I�ll go outside�
� Mind if I join you?�
Ritchie looked hopefully to her.
� No prob, I probably would get lost if I walked out alone so I hope you�re not as worse as me in finding the way�
� Don�t worry, we aren�t allowed to go far away from the bus so there is no change to get lost�
� Great, follow me!�
Susan grabbed Ritchie�s hand and walked happily out of the bus, dragging Ritchie behind her. Ritchie followed her, curious where she was going and smiling at her happiness.
� Do you mind telling me where we are going?�
� Yes�
He looked surprised, but he smiled when he saw the look on her face, it was a look of a child who was opening her b-day presents, it was a look full of happiness.
� I wasn�t expecting that answer�
� I know�
� Can you give me a clue?�
� Nope�
� Susan, pleezee�
� Stop whining Ritchie, you�ll see, just follow me�
He knew that she wouldn�t say anything more so he stopped �whining� and followed her. He was surprised when he saw a carnival in front of him and he burst out laughing.
She gave him a silly look.
� What�s so funny?�
� This, I was expecting everything, but not a carnival!�
She looked hurt and insecure.
� If you don�t like it we can go back�
� No, are you crazy!? I love the carnival!�
� Okay, come, let�s go to the merry-go-round�
He looked like he was thinking and Susan gave him a confused look.
� What?�
� I would love to go with you to the merry-go-round, but I�m afraid we have to go back, they don�t know where we are and we aren�t even supposed to come here�
� Pleezee, only one time�
� Maybe, I�m not sure, it�s not like I don�t want to go, but�
� I promise that we go back right after that�
He looked deep in thought and after a minute he finally spoke.
� Okay, let�s go then!�
They bought a ticked and waited in the row for their turn. When it was finally their turn they chose both a horse and when the merry-go-round began to turn around they were both acting like little children. They were still laughing when they were going back to the busses, making fun of all the people.
Ritchie stopped in his tracks when he saw a familiar face, Susan didn�t know why he stopped walking so she decided just to wait for when he was going to start walking again.
� Sandy?�
The girl he was looking at turned around.
� Ritchie?!�
She looked surprised to him
� Sandy? OMG, it�s really you!�
