Chapter 13
Everybody was already there when Susan walked into the bus. She smiled when she saw everybody joking and she hoped that she could get the kiss out of her mind. She really didn�t get Ritchie. Why did he act like this? Was it normal for him to walk away and to ignore someone if you just kissed? She thought that she was in love with him, but didn�t know that for sure anymore.
�Susan? Susan?!?�
She looked up to Sandy and looked surprised when she saw that everybody was staring at her.
�Sorry, what did you say?�
�I asked if you could help me to get the drinks out the car�
�Yeah, sure�
The girls walked out of the bus, stared after by the boys.
�Do you mind telling me what�s wrong?�
Sandy looked curious and Susan felt sorry that she didn�t tell the truth.
�Why do you think that something is wrong?�
�Well�you were awful quiet when you came back and Ritchie seemed confused too�did something happen?�
Susan looked Sandy in the eyes and she saw that she could trust her.
�He kissed me��
�He what?!? But Susan, that�s great, isn�t it?�
�I don�t know�I mean, I wish it would be great, but he acted so strange after that! He just walked away without saying anything!�
�That�s strange! That doesn�t sound like Ritchie at all. I�m sure he didn�t mean it that way�I mean, I�ve seen him looking towards you and it really looks like he�s crazy about you!�
�Well, I dunno about that�I wish things weren�t that complicated. I mean, I know I like him, we kissed and that�s it. Why can�t I just tell him that I like him?�
�Why do you think? You�re afraid to be rejected, everybody is, that�s human. But I think that you have nothing to be afraid of, maybe you haven�t noticed, but it�s so obvious that he likes you!�
�Well�I wish that I could believe that, but I can�t�The only thing I can do is hope that things will work out between Ritchie and me. Anyway�thanks for listening to me, but tonight I wanna have fun, so let�s get the drinks and get back to the bus, okay?�
�Okay�and Susan, remember this, if there�s something you want to talk about: I�ll be there for you!�
�Thanks, you�re the best!�
Meanwhile with the boys.
�God, I�m so stupid!�
The boys stopped with what they were doing and turned towards Ritchie.
�Did you finally realized that?�
Scott tried to joke, but right after he saw the hurt look on Ritchie�s face he knew he shouldn�t have done that.
�Sorry mate, I was only joking�what�s wrong?�
Ritchie shook his head and put his head in his hands.
�I�m such an asshole!�
�No, you aren�t�
Ritchie looked to J and knew that J wouldn�t have said that if he knew what Ritchie had done.
�Yes, I�m�Susan must hate me!�
�Ah�at least we know about who you were talking!�
�I kissed her�
�That�s great! So why are you saying that you are stupid? Didn�t she kiss you back or something?�
�O no! That�s not the problem! She kissed me back�she�s one of the best kissers I know and that says a lot!�
�But if that isn�t the problem, what�s the problem then?�
�I walked away without saying anything after I had kissed her��
�Ritchie�how could you do that??? What were you thinking?�
�I think that I wasn�t thinking at all�I mean, I don�t know why I did this, I have never done this before and I know that I would never do this again. I mean�what�ll she think of me? She must think that I�m such an asshole!�
�You have to talk to her�as soon as possible! You have to explain to her that you didn�t mean it this way�if you want that things between you and Susan work out then you have to be honest to her. You have to tell her the way you feel about her!�
�Thanks for the advice Sean! I think that you�re right�I have to talk to her and I don�t want to spoil the evening, but I think it�s the best if I talk right away with her�
�It�s okay mate! There are enough evenings to come and if you and Susan don�t talk it�ll do the atmosphere no good�
Just on the moment that Sean stopped speaking the girls walked back in the bus.
�We�re back! Did you miss us?�
�Yeah, you won�t even believe how much!�
�How sweet! Too bad that we didn�t miss you!�
�Haha�
Abs spoke full of sarcasm and everybody laughed.
�So�is everybody ready to watch the movies?�
�Uhm�not tonight�
The girls looked surprised and didn�t understand why the plans had changed.
�Why not?�
The boys looked at Ritchie and the girl were getting more confused.
�Susan�can you come with me? I was hoping to talk to you��
�Yeah, sure��
