Fragile Life

He was walking down the street and did not feel his feet stepping. He was looking forward, but the sight was blank for him. He always kept his chin up, but deep inside he felt down. He smiled to the people who were passing by. A whole town knew him. He was famous for his warm smile and kind soul. Now the smile was cold and the soul was empty. Empty that is how he felt inside. All the warmth flew away. And landed in heaven. Where he hoped she is. He tried to be strong, as his father always tells him to be. He was. He was that is the words that filled his mind. He was here, but now he is gone. His feet felt weaker and eyes filled with tears when he saw a picture of her in the window of a music shop. She was beautiful and she was smiling. Her smile was so warm. Nevertheless, he understood that she would not smile at him anymore. He felt like she is still alive. Nevertheless, he knew she is not. He walked down the road and the voice in his head kept singing:
She made it easy, made it free, made you hurt till you couldnt see.
He knocked on the door of a huge beautiful house. It did not even looked like a house. More like a now time palace. The servant in the fine suit opened the door.
Mr. Dobson he began.
Hi Jonathan He said and looked at the servant. The servant did not look back. Ritchie walked up the stairs to his room. The door slammed behind him. His sister came in. She smiled in this kind of freaky smile. He knew what was coming. Moreover, the coming up plan was teasing. She opened the Smash Hits magazine and read in the childish voice.
Today is a very tragic day for the boy-band BAD.
They did not sell enough albums in England. And for the rest of the month they will serve as a opening band for 5ive. Then she changed her voice to man reporters and asked while putting the imaginary microphone to her shining from lip-gloss lips.
How do you feel about it Mr. Pop-star. He just looked at her. He knew she wanted an answer. He tried to say something, but his voice was deep inside his throat and did not come out.
Tracy looked at her brother. Was that her little brother? The one who always made her laugh to tears? The one who always teased her because she was not good in Math and he went faster than his program. The one who from the earliest years made all the situations funny, and all he places the party ones. The one whose smile was so warm that it light the room with the kindness as soon as it showed on his lips. She looked at him and did not know who is she looking at. He was not the same. Moreover, the voice deep inside told her that he would never be the same again. Their mom came in she was unincredible grumpy. In addition, if you know Mrs. Dobson, it is very unusual for her to be that way. We cold have known. You should have told us. It is unbelievable. You know Ritchie we are very happy to see you but you should have called. I do not have a dinner. Do not even think that you are looking down makes me feel sorry for you. Because that look does not make me feel sorry for you. You are a very good actor, but I am your mother here and I know when my son is fooling around and when he is not.
Look at me. She said
I said look at me, she repeated. He did, as was tolled to do. She looked in his eyes. The expression in his eyes frightened her. It was like looking at something but seeing nothing. No liveliness was there anymore.
What is wrong? she asked in the terrified voice.
She is dead, he said. The images of her were flying in his mind.
Who is, honey? his mom asked again. Ritchie lived away from his parents. He did not like to talk to them either. However, he was in the band and they could read about his life in the magazines. However, you never know what is a Truth and what is a Rumor. He looked at his mom and sister and did not understand why did he come here. Of all the places, he chooses the one he did not like the most. He did not know why did he come here, why does life throwing him such a wonderful things, but they are like a boomerang fly away from him. He did not know why did the person who loved him let him. He did not know why was his heart and his mind was working in different ways.
Who is? his mom repeated
My girlfriend andShould he tell them?
And his sister remarked impatiently. His mother shoots her a frightening look.
And she wasShe was pregnant. He replied
From you his mom added and the tears were running down her face.
-Yes- he mouthed because his voice was hiding again. His mom looked at him. How could that be her son? Richie- her son was the cutest and the smartest child anybody has seen. His light blond hair always got in his good-boy-blue eyes. The Richie who was sitting in front of her was a grown up man with loads of problems. He had spiky blond hair and deep blue eyes they covered with the thin stylish glasses. She knew she had to comfort him, but did not know how. He was so different, so grownup.
Who are you? she could not hold the question anymore.
I dont know, he answered. He did not. They decided that it is going to be better to live him alone. His dad came home. Richie looked like him. Moreover, if you did not know that he was his stepfather you will think that they related. After an hour, his mom came in and handed him the phone.
Its Dave she replied. Richie did not want to talk to anybody so he just shook his head and stood up. He was thinking about how cruel the life can be. A week ago he had a girlfriend who loved him and who was about to become his fianc and a mother of his first child. He had a love a future and a life. Nevertheless, in a moment it was all gone. It was like the unneeded picture that somebody erased. The memories flew through his mind with the speed of the wind.
The carthe drunk driver behind the wheelher crossing the roadher lifeless body in the hospitaldoctors in the white robes all aroundbloodscreamsthe tears on her mothers eyesthe last words on her shining lipsshe said she loved himshe didbloodscreams
The memories were sucking him in like the tornado.
He looked at his mother standing at the door. She looked worried. He heard his stepfather running up the stairs. However, everything demolished in the same second. The only thing he heard was the screams they were as loud as a train bell. He did not see anything. Everything was as black as the funeral clothing. His feet felt weaker. His head felt lighter. Everything disappeared, but not the terrible headache. He tried not to fall, but it was too late. He passed out.
The conclusion:
Many years passed by. He was married. He had two kids. He lived. He understood that it was her not him who died. The years passed by like the new series of the old movie. However, the images of her never left his mind. He will never forget her eyes; they were as deep as the ocean, her long blond hair that ran down her shoulders as a little river. He will always remember the time they spend together. Everyday he woke up hoping to die. He will live, but he will never forget how fragile the life could be!
