�Scott, can you pick up the phone please?�
Scott sighed and walked to the phone.
�Hello?�
�Hello? Who�s this?�
�I�m Scott, who are you?�
�I�m Carol�could I speak to Claire or Jasper please?�
�Yeah sure, wait a minute�
Scott wondered to who he was talking, the voice sounded somehow familiar, but he couldn�t remember talking to the girl before.
�Mom, it�s for you�
He watched his mom walking to the phone and he continued watching her when she pick up the phone.
�Hello?�
�Is this Claire?�
�Yes, it is�who am I talking to?�
�I�m Carol�your daughter�
�O my dear! It�s so good to finally talk to you! I can�t believe this! Is it really you?!?�
�Yeah, it is�so you�re my mom��
�So how have you been?�
�Well�I�m shocked at the moment if you can call it that�I mean�you�re my mom�and I always thought Kate was my mom�
�I�m sorry for that, I really am!�
�Anyway�there�s something what I wanted to ask and that�s why I�m calling�is it possible to meet you?�
�Sure, I can�t wait to meet you! I have seen lots of pictures of you and know I�m finally going to meet you�just say when and where and I�ll be there�
�Well, I was hoping that I could come to your house�I really want to see where you live and I want to see Jasper, and if it�s possible Scott, too�
�Of course�we first have to tell him, but I�m sure he wants to meet you! Is next Sunday okay or is that to soon for you?�
�No, that�s fine by me�so I guess I see you then?�
�Yeah, you�ll�byebye�

Claire turned to her son and was surprised to see him staring at her.
�Mom, who was that?�
�Scott�there�s something I have to tell you, maybe it�s better if you sit down�
They walked to the livingroom and Claire was thinking about how to tell her son.
�There�s something we never told you and maybe we should have, but we never knew if you would see her and we didn�t want to hurt you�
�To see who?�
Scott looked confused to his mom.
�To see Carol�see, we never told you, but when you were 2 years old we were really poor and we were having problems to pay the rent every month. Some friends of us did have a lot of money and their biggest wish was to have a child, but it was almost sure that they never would get any children. They offered us a lot of money if we would give them the child I was pregnant of. We agreed�it was stupid of us, but we did. When Carol was born we wanted to keep her, but the judge decided that Kate and Bob could have her�
Scott looked to her mom and was in shock.
�So you mean that I have a sister?�
�Yes�Carol is your sister�
They both didn�t say anything for a while and Scott was avoiding his mother�s looks.
�She wants to meet us�
�I figured that out by now��
�Do you want to meet her too?�
�I don�t know�.she�s my sister after all, but�it came as a total surprise for me�
�I know, she will except it if you don�t want to meet her. She knows that you didn�t knew of her and she only found out that she had a brother a short time ago�
�I think that I want to meet her�but it will be strange for me�
�It�ll be strange for all of us�
�That�s true�I�m sorry, but I think I go now�I have to think�
�Okay, but if you have any questions: ask!�
�I�ll, bye mom�

Scott kissed his mom on the cheek and left the room.
