| Since I am adopted, this is the first blood relative I've known. Everyone says he looks like me, but it is hard for me to see it much because I think alot of babies look alike. lol. But, he does look just like me when I was a baby. I can't wait to teach him things & show the world to him. We're gonna have a blast! I can't wait to take him to Disney World. I love my little buddy so much! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| It was a tough delivery & pregnancy, but whew! We made it through! I wanted him before he was born & I would die for him within 5 mins of seeing him. If I had to do it all over, I would in a heartbeat. He was worth every moment. He has my dimples from my Dad. He is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. I am going to make sure he has a wonderful life! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hayden's middle name came from one of our favorite movies, "The Princess Bride", named after the virtuous character/hero of the film named, Wesley. He was born via C-Section due to him being Breech & possibly too large for the birth canal. He was kept in the NICU for almost a week, due to complications & being slightly premature. He is a very healthy & happy baby now. During my pregnancy I developed preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, a massive infection after the C-section, preterm labor and premature rupture of my water. During the Csection They had to heavily sedate me to calm me down as I was freaking out because there was a complication with the anesthesia and I could feel some pain not to mention all sensation. It was a total nightmare. I got so sick after giving birth, that it took about 3 days for me to be able to go see him for the first time. I was so ill they had to push my bed down to the NICU. I remember lying there on the bed holding his tiny hand through the holes in his incubator and just crying. Other people were in the room with me, also visiting their newborns and they teared up from watching the two of us. I knew then and there that this was the love of my life and a dream come true. Hayden was diagnosed about a year ago (2008?) with autism. It has been very hard on all of us. He was delayed in almost every area. You know that it is true love when you sacrifice your entire life to taking care of someone else. It teaches you that you do not come first in life anymore. You have to put away a large part of yourself when you are raising an autistic child. Hayden does speak, but he does not have a very expanded vocabulary. He stims, is not very affectionate etc....I will do a section about autism soon, so I'll save this for later. BTW we found out recently that we spelled his middle name incorrectly. It should have been Westley not wesley. LOL...We left out the 'T' but oh well...nothing we can do about it at this point. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
