"You mean-" "There is definatly no spirit in that lake." Rei replied, almost arrogant. This time it had been Bunny trying to talk but Rei had not stopped and clearly stated her opinion. "Ok." Ami stood up, and it was unusual to hear her voice in a tone full of decision. Her right hand was a fist when she said: "So we will go there and find the shadow whatever it is this time." "Eh?" all the others said at once. Not only Ami*s fixity astounded them, they also were taken a bit by surprise. Then again... Yes, it was the logical consequence, Rei`s attempt had failed to bring any result, not Rei herself - who had done everthing possible - but her method could not analyse the being as it was no spirit. Yes. It was the only logical way to go there and find it. Regarded from this point of view it was no longer questionable that Ami had made up the decision. No one had to agree or disagree as it just was the only logical way - and Ami was the logical mind in the group. They could not wait til eventually something more than a sighting of the creature could happen. They had to find out about wether it existed at all or not before someone could suffer serious damage or death. Minako, who still was the only one standing, leaning to the wooden entry*s frame pillar, looked at the clouds that darkened more and more in this afternoon. Makoto notice what Minako most certainly thought and said: "It looks like rain again." "Yes." Bunny raised her voice for the first time since minutes, "I would not like to be on the upper deck of a ship now, it may begin a thunderstorm!" No one had got the idea of that statement. Typically for Usagi, she didn*t contribute to the important topic at all before, but comments profane things with even pointless comments. Makoto, alike the others, also had no time to care or riddle about waht this sentence should mean, because they turned their heads to Rei, who, iN that moment, had laughed out, because she had stretched out her hand into the outside of the temple*s court and it indeed rained already. Single drops but rain anyway. "I*m gettin wet, aside, guys!" Minako chuckled, leaping and passing the stair between Rei and Makoto. Just two minutes later they all had withdrawn a step backwards, as heaven had opened it*s floodgates for a mighty and noisy shower. The ground around Hino Temple was bombarded with liquid that fell like nails, and it had the sound of steel balls in a rhythm shaker. There was a Hollywoodswing under the Veranda alike Roof were Bunny and MInako had reserved themself the "most wanted place". Rei had bought that swing just last year, exactly for their gathering purposes when it would be wet and uncomfortable on the stair, their traditional place. Beside the swing, a modest bank without a back offered enough space to let them all sit down. Makoto sat there with AMi in her arms, who had a bit of a goose skin under her blue beige clothes. She leaned on her friend*s should with eyes closed, enjoying the warmth of the person next to her. The rain brought slight winds, or rather to say a cold breath, but at Makotos shoulder, this mixture of temperature was enjoyable and not to say cushy. Rei sat last to the right end of the bank and stared into the streaming amounts of water, her fantastic eyes reflected stars as they always did whenever she got wet eyes from being glad or sentimentally: "I really like rain, did I ever mentioned that?" she smiled with open mouth. If someone like Minako would*ve sat next to her right now, the blonde surely would*ve let out a "EEEH?" sound. Because Rei looked like she was in Romance and wanted to give it right the next person. Perhaps she was deeply touched by romance not only as she liked the weather, which was so purifying to earth, but also because Ami, next to her, and Makoto were lovers. No one knew. Maybe Rei wanted to be in love too. BUt itwas not the moment to find it out, just Bunny was staring foolishly romantically into the rain yet, dreaming of her own joys of luck and love, when Rei already had discarded the thoughts of the previous moment, as they were going to sit and wait this rain, then going on a mission. And every mission was something serious. She would have time to yearn for romance later. She already looked forward to it with a wicked hidden smile, she*d put a spell around her twat and get literarically spiritual stimulation. The plan was made. The Sailor Girls would part into two groups at the lake, one would go into the forest that surrounded the lake, the others - Rei and Bunny, who was too scared of nightly forests - would search the lake itself for indicators of evil energy or - as they hoped - the cause itself. New rainclouds gathered over Hino temple when the current rain just had stopped. |
