His first appearance on television was in 1967 on an episode of �The Dating Game� in which he won a vacation to Acapulco, Mexico.
While he was filming the Episode �A Night Not To Remember�, John accidentally hit his head and knocked himself out.
The episode �The Charming Stranger� of �Three�s Company� was banned from Nick at Nite because there is supposedly a
�BLUE� scene.

John's full name is indeed Johnathan Southworth Ritter (with that extra H).  This is proven if you watch the E! True Hollywood Story on him.
