| Steve Nicols (John Ritter) is a struggling young actor who's current job is dressing up as "Captain Avenger", the superhero of the film he is promoting. When he saves a robbery in a small grocery store while still wearing his Captain Avenger costume, his life completely changes. Everyone looks up to Steve as a superhero. He is poor and cannot pay his rent and therefore stays at J's (Anne Archer), a girl he meets who at first seems uninterested in him, apartment. Steven ends up taking a shot at being a superhero but learns that it is not the life for him. It is very dangerous and difficult. |
