| How do you adopt a pet? It's quite simple.. but also a bit risky. What you do is neomail the account in which the pet you want to adopt is located, saying you want to adopt "the pets name". If more than one person applies for the same pet within 2 days, then we will pick the applicant who is best suited for caring for the pet. If we see that you're not on that often, then you will have a lesser chance of getting the pet.
If the user of the account you neomailed accepts you as the new owner of the pet, then she/he will ask for your instant messenger screen name if she/he doesn't already have it. (Yes, you must have an IM sn in order to adopt a pet) This is so you can proceed with the next step of the adoption.
Once you are both talking on IM, you go to the adoption agency and click adopt. Then you will see something that looks like this: >> Adopt-A-Pet Search Engine. Click it and go back to the IM with the owner of the pet. You should copy the pet you're adopting's name (command c). The owner of the pet will then tell you to paste (command v) the name of the pet your adopting in the space provided on the Adopt-A-Pet Search Engine and that that next bleep (from the IM) you hear, you should click find. After that, if the pet still hasnt been adopted by someone else, you click adopt and you have your painted pet!
