Ok, since I keep getting asked about what a house is, what you do, how you get sorted, etc, I have decided to explain it all right here :) The number one question I am always asked is: What is a house?, so I believe this is my top priority to answer! A house is sort of like a miniature guild: there is a leader of the house whom runs things, and then there are the house members! I'm sure all of you are familiar with the book/movie Harry Potter. You know Hogwarts has 4 houses: Griffindor, Slitherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Each house gains or looses "house points" through-out the year by performing certain tasks, which is exactly what we will be doing! This brings me to my next question! How do I earn house points? This is simple! Either Cat or Fox will issue neopets related homework for all of the houses to do! The homework is the same for all four houses, so it's fair. Members of all the houses who complete the homework neomail their answers to plobugsy, and if all or the majority of the answers are correct, then your house wins 10 house points! *There is no limit to the amount of members from each house to complete the homework. The leaders can also host other contests or challenges to earn more house points, so doing homework is not the only option ;). What are the house points for? From the day the Nutty Neopians begin the houses, all houses will be competing for something we like to call the "NN Nut Cup". The NN Nut cup (a.k.a- NNNC), is just a fancy word for a BIG prize! Yes, we already have it picked out and let me assure you that it's worth well over 100,000 NPs, but we cannot reveal what it is ;) Exactly one full year (365 days, 12 months, etc.) after the day we begin the houses, the house with the most house points will be given the special prize! Since it is only one thing, it will be given to the current leader of the house, where he or she can do whatever they please with it! I think it would be very nice of the leader to share it somehow with his or her members, but thats only my opinion. ;) What are the leaders responsible for? The house leaders are responsible for a few things. To make is easier, I decided to make a list instead of putting it in paragraph form :) 2) Having something for your house members to participate in- example: contests, homework (we supply it), giveaways, etc. 3) BEING AN ACTIVE LEADER. If anyone has anymore questions about the houses, please neomail plobugsy. |
