Temporarily Bitter

All of thes emotions,
That you did not share,
Time will hinder them,
Just like before.
Until the point, though,
When we're just friends,
I don't think
I'll be quite like myself.
But how long,
Will it take my heart,
To think of you,
As just my friend.
Feelings that I had,
Grew with such speed,
And what I hoped for,
Was crushed so rapidly.
This time around
I'll just be me,
And treat you
Only as a good friend.
And with you out of my hopes,
I will eventually find someone else.
I'll keep it inside a little longer;
Until I find one to truly share with.
