Clay-colored Robin

Turdus grayi
Mirlo Pardo = brown blackbird

The Clay-colored robin is the national bird of Costa Rica. It belongs to the Thrush family and resembles a robin you might find in the US, only with grayish-brown coloring. It usually resides anywhere from Mexico to Colombia, but can sometimes be spotted in Texas. In Panama, it chooses to breed in the dry season to avoid predators despite the lack of food.
