Well, here's my response to Kat's freewrite challenge. Funny how I always come up with two when I freewrite. Haven't the foggiest idea why my theme was "don't", but it was...

Don’t have the time to do the things I want
Don’t have the motivation to do the things I should
Don’t have the answers to the questions I’m asked
Don’t have the faith to see the light
Don’t have the eyes to see the truth
Don’t have the ears to hear the meaning behind the words
Don’t have the voice to say “I love you”
Don’t have the love to see me through
Don’t have the strength to say goodbye
Don’t have the will to resist
Don’t have the desire to continue
Don’t have a reason to stop
Don’t have the rain to wash away the tears
Don’t have the dark to hide the pain
Don’t have the courage to try again
Don’t have the hope that tomorrow it will all be better
But I do have the choice to make a change.

Don’t touch me.
Don’t look at me that way.
Don’t try to pretend. If it isn’t real, give up.
Don’t put your arm around my waist.
Don’t hold me close and call me darling.
Don’t try to keep me in the dark. I’ll find out the truth.
Don’t try to break it to me easy.
Don’t blow me off.
Don’t ignore me. That’s not an ending. I won’t just fade into the darkness.
Don’t say things you don’t mean.
Don’t lie to me.
And don’t think I’ll be crushed if you leave.
On the contrary, let me show you to the door.
