(and improving the general state of the world)
1. Suspension/Expulsion - Kids need to realize that they can't go around being little juvenile deliquents and getting away with it. But being that most of todays teachers are pussies, they can. Teachers need to get a backbone. They need to start suspending kids. Recently in our school teachers were granted the privelege of being able to independently suspend a student. However, I haven't seen one teacher use this privelege, although there are certainly people who deserve it. Hell, why not just kick them out of school altogether? To quote my Law/History teacher, Mr DiFlavio, "If [our vice principle] would just expel a handful of people, this school would have a lot less problems." I think this is because schools stopped caning kids. The last generation of students exposed to caning, who ended up becoming teachers, were very strict as a result. With each generation teachers get less and less severe because they disliked the harshness of their own teachers. This is why all of my teachers this semester, who are all under 30, are known for being easygoing and easy to mold. Kids are too manipulative. Bring back the canes!
2. Chemical Castration - this is what child molestors and rapists need. If they can't control themselves, then the object or essence (horniness) that they cannot control should be removed. I imagine that most of the people that object to this are men. Men have a particular fondness for their penises, which is why they have such a problem with vasectomies. They like to behold their organs as objects of power. And when these organs no longer provide them with a raging desire or, well, a hard-on, they will feel... undignified, I suppose. Unmanly. And THAT is what they deserve! They need to have their dignity stripped of them in the same way that they destroyed the dignity of the person they abused. We need to stop giving them second chances.
3. It's Not Just About The Guy - Women are people. The common view that women are just toys is wrong and stupid and sums up guys perfectly. They deserve equal consideration, and don't deserve to be "played" or cheated on or beaten or taken advantage of or forced to stay home while the man goes out and does whatever he wants.
4. Tolerance - enough said.
5. Estrogen Shots - or at least some form of testosterone withdrawal. Testosterone makes men do stupid things. Estrogen makes people nice and happy and pleasant and also makes them grow boobs.
6. More Normally Proportioned Models/Actors/etc - Who are you trying to kid? No one looks like that in
real life without adding plastic, subtracting fat, moving their whole face around and/or injecting weird
chemicals into their muscles. Note: Bony people aren't sexy. They're half-dead. Second Note: Being thin
and/or attractive is NOT, I repeat NOT a talent. Maybe if people weren't portrayed as such, we would all
begin to respect each other more, and focus more on personality rather than looks. Here is a quote by my
good friend Megan that sums it up perfectly:
"I think of a body as something on rent. Something you will have no use for later on... I could never really
comprehend why people seem to spend so much time, effort and money on image. Image is nothing. All it is
is something society has called "important" and everyone has followed. Why follow? Everyone follows. All
those jerks and assholes we so love to make fun of for being so stupid, they are slaves to image. Image made
them; created them and killed them. They're nothing now. Not themselves or even anyone else. They're a
body. That's all they ever have been, and all they ever will be. A body, an object. Something to play with,
then throw away. You find out who really cares about you when you exceed what everyone believes image
to be." Well done.
7. Mandatory Birth Control - Parents should start giving their kids multiple forms of birth control. As in, "Merry Christmas to you too, Mom. Oh thanks, you shouldn't have. I wonder what this is? (unwrapping of gift) Oh. Chocolate flavoured condoms. Thanks." I have been told that this will encourage children to have sex. Probably not... In my opinion, a kid is not going to suddenly decide to have sex just because there is available birth control. A kid like that is probably so susceptible to rash decision making that they would have done it anyway because of peer pressure. It's just that parents are so shy, and don't even want to know about their children's private lives, much less teach them how to live it morally. There are some schools in which the only thing kids are taught about sex is that it's wrong and that they should abstain from it. Therefore they have no knowledge whatsoever of birth control. Now, would you rather have your child having safe sex, or deciding to have sex after much thought and careful moral decision making, but doing it without birth control and having a kid and contracting STDs and HIV and then dying???
