Bah. I have five minutes in class to start this page so I may as well go off on a tangent on how in 50 years we are all going to die from radiation. Oh yes, I tell Mr Minicucci that, and he calls me a pessimist. I'm simply being realistic. If we keep spoiling our natural resources and let technology govern us, we will forget how to use the land properly and end up ruining it with our mindless pollution. As the world gets bigger and more full of people, we have less and less water/air/food/space; not only are we consuming it at a faster rate, we are spoiling the stuff we DO have. Tell me, how do we expect to survive like this? If X were essential elements to human survival and Y stood for humans, we'd have Y>X=DEATH. You see? Figure it out people. I'm sure scientists believe that they can use their spectacular cloning powers to generate some more food. Then when they are fucking around with their machines, they'll be so dependent on them that they'll forget how to live off the land. Eventually we'll have another stock market crash and economic levels will be at an all time low, so they won't have money to keep up all their machines, and what then? What then, boys and girls? The earth's soil will already have been used and overused so many times that it will have no nutrients, not to mention the many pesticides and poisons absorbed into it as well, giving our salads a nice radioactive flavour and glowing hue. Our air will be poison, our water will be poison, and our food will be poison. Then all the different countries will start to blame each other for the crisis and whip out the nuclear weapons. Can you say "fried"?
