ABSTRACT
For these past ten years,
Computer Graphic (CG) played an important role to the media especially movies
and advertisements. Through these year as it developed, we can see the how
powerful visual effects had influenced our mind. They create fantasy, spaceships,
explosion, earthquake and virtual reality to make us believe that it is real.
Movies like Jurassic Park and The Mummy had input a lot of CG. Composite between
live shooting and CG will save a lot of cost since they can create unlimited
action using computer. Compositing are very important since this is the key
between these two elements. Bad compositing will affect the audience interest
on the movie.
For my thesis, I'll do my research on the important and elements of digital
compositing such as lighting and shadow, the preparation, camera matching
and how things put together. Which technique will best suit for making fantasy
movie? How is the look in combining both 3D on a 2D image? Understanding the
principles of 3D objects and fantasy illustration art.
THESIS ISSUES
The effectiveness of using digital compositing on movie in order to give young editor a review on projecting a right frame.
