| Outkast- Speakerboxx/The Love Below: The two best songs on this double disc set from the hottest group in the world right now. They are already 6x platinum. In less than 6 months thats power! The Love Below: The more understood and eclectic of the two. All of his songs that may sound innocent and whimsical have a deep message and lyrical content. Highlights are the handclapping Happy Valentine's Day. At the end you'll hear the happy go to f*ck Valentine's day. Spread is a short but sex charged single on the CD that Andre pleads for a girl to Spread for him and on #6 shes askin where are her panties? Prototype...Can you say Prince, cuz his influence is all over this one! It's a groove jam 5 min long that is sweet and definitley for the ladies. If you're not the one..I hope your the prototype! Clever. Hey Ya the infectious and way played out hit! Roses is fun to sing, but the meaning of it is too true. U know fellas u'll be somewhere and u'll see a fine gurl but her attitude is just so stank and all of a sudden she looks really ugly. Andre hears ya! Behold a Lady is a nice jam that is an ode the real lady, not all these wannabes and hos (yeah I said it) out here. Andre jus wants a nice lady along with most fellas. Pink and Blue is a sure fire quiet storm jam that explores Andre's affair with an older woman. Dracula's Wedding is an always too short song with the brilliant Kelis (Her album Tasty is brilliant go cop it for real!) very clever way to deal with commitment. "I've killed many before, but I'm terrified of you" With Prototype and Pink and Blue the next highpoint is Vibrate. He's askin everyone to get up grow up and VIBRATE higher. Great effort but I'm afraid many will be expectin this album to be like the poppy Hey Ya and you have to be ready to listen to the words with this one. Speakerboxx: One of my fave parts of the album is how at the end of the songs these girls say "Speakerboxx" very cool. Now Big Boi had the more "Outkast" album its similar to its other smashes ATLIens, and Stankonia. I love Speakerboxx and I love how it samples the greatest singer ever...my other momma Ms. Patti Labelle. The techno may throw you off, but its all about the g-h-e-t-t-o-m-u-s-i-c-k. Unhappy is a highpoint that deals with Big Boi growing up. Bowtie and the other overplayed but funky ass The Way You Move are jus get up and dance songs. The bassline of The Way You Move is so damn hot. War and Bust are great songs. Bust's chorus is hot wit the singing. CHURCH..sounds like a video game, but if you are questioning ur or anyone's existence..u know where u need to go. The breakdown is hot 2 ! Tomb of the Boom is hot with the hottest verses comin from a new comer Big Gipp and the everpresent DTP king Ludacris. Reset and Flip Flop Rock are the last real bangers on the album ( its big boi everysong is a banger rite!!). I enjoy both albums a lot, Andre's is my favorite, because he expanded upon Outkast and his music is not easily understood. It allows you to sing a long and interpret. But they both held it down and I'm just waitin til the next one!! Hold it down for the ATL! 10 OUT OF 10 |
