Yukmouth Presents- United Ghettos of America: First off, Yuk is killing the game...None of you wannbe thug faggots can touch him...Not even the hugely overated Face or Too Short...Who, ironicially eough, he disses throughout the CD and with such venom that he reminds me of Pac...The guest appearances are plentiful with Numskull, Dru Down, Nyce and Monsta Ganjah (both signed to his label), Young Noble and Po (of the Outlawz), Richie Rich, Brotha Lynch, C Bo and many others...The production could have been a bit better but there are still several bangers...Let me make it clear from now, lyrically and flow wise Yuk is at his best...Its the production that sometimes comes off as out-dated...If anybody revives the Westcoast, you can bet its gonna be Yuk. Be on the look-out for Godzilla, Yuk's next solo album, a collab album with C Bo and the official REGIME album! Smoke A Lot running this bitch.

Freeway- Philadelphia Freeway: On PHILADELPHIA FREEWAY, rapper Freeway debuts with an enigmatic, instantly recognizable vocal style that eschews the gruff, slurring, tough-guy shouting of many gangsta hip-hop artists in favor of a punchy, higher-pitched style that often recalls the Old School pioneers. Don't be fooled, though--there aren't any block party anthems here; this is aggressive, hardcore stuff. Freeway has a take-no-prisoners approach that often sounds like a fist in the face. Just Blaze's production matches perfectly, using beats that contain elements of jungle to give each track a manic intensity. Standouts include "On My Own," for which Nelly provides a characteristically hooky chorus that imprints itself on the listener's brain after a single listen, and "Life," which uses an Eddie Money (!) sample to paint an unnerving picture of ghetto survival.

D.O.C.- Duece: The highly-anticipated 2003 album from writer, producer and certified rap legend The D.O.C. With Deuce, the D.O.C. sets out to create a new history, one whose setting is miles away from the city of Compton that made him famous. Surrounded by a hungry young crew of Dallas/Fort Worth Texas-area emcees - including 6Two, Uptight, El Dorado, and Cadillac Seville.
