Non Phixon- The Future Is Now: To sum this album in one word, HEAVY!! The rhymes R dope, the beats R sick(u can't loose with Premo, Pete Rock, Large P and Necro on the boards). There's nuttin wack about this joint, I just wish there were more songs on it(not that there isn't) when u listen 2 the album u don't want it to stop. One of the BEST albums of the year. Gritty and thoughtful, and words come a mile a minute. It runs the gamut from large, orchestral instrumentals...to the IDM-inspired outer-space tones of synth and drum machines. 9.7 OUT OF 10

WC- Ghetto Heisman: WC is very original, to the point where his flow and style doesn't match the majority of production in the game...And thats what happened with this album...The production is a bit of a let down cause it doesn't match his particular style.Hopefully he will find the right production to suit him on his next album and like the beats he had on "The Shadiest Ine". He has several quality tracks like "The Streets" with Snoop and Nate Dogg (one of the classic west coast songs of all time), "Walk" with Westside Connection, Wanna Ride with NWA, So Hard featuring Scarface and several others. Its good to see Def Jam respecting an OG like WC. 7.75 OUT OF 10

Large Professor- 1st Class: It feels good to see a true veteran in hip hop returning with a tight album. Maybe the beats sound too simple to some of the new jacks but that's the way it used to be - 10 or 15 years ago nobody was asking if the music is club compatible, everyone was concentrating on the MC's skills. On the lyrical tip Extra P. does a good job with keeping it simple, straight to the core. He was never known for dropping the most complex lines, but his lyrics are definitely on point. Plus the great guest appearances add a little extra flavor to the mix. Has someone tha balls to give his first solo album "The LP" a proper release??? 9 OUT OF 10

Swollen Members- Monsters In The Closet: 2002 album from Swollen Members is set to take them to an even higher level. The album includes banging new singles & remixes taking the raw heavy substance of Balance (1999) and combining it with the polished maturity of Bad Dreams (2001). Battleaxe Records. 9.5 OUT OF 10
