Disturing The Peace- Golden Grain: In the tradition of Nelly's St. Lunatics and Eminem's D12, Atlanta's favorite rapper Ludacris has marshaled his forces to oversee the release of an album featuring his own crew Disturbing Tha Piece. Though he's credited as a producer on GOLDEN GRAIN and appears as a guest on several tracks, Ludacris hasn't put this endeavor together for his own greater glory, but rather to present the distinctive talents of the five young rappers who make up Disturbing Tha Piece. That said, the styles and themes of Jay Cee, I-20, the colorfully named Tity Boi, and the rest of the crew, are not a million miles away from that of their mentor. As in the work of Ludacris, GOLDEN GRAIN offers a consistent mix of R&B/pop hooks propelling rhymes that achieve just the right mix of street-real gangsta scenarios and celebratory, sideways-grinning party manifestos. (Make sure to listen to the track with Twista, he spits one gem of a verse!) 7 OUT OF 10

Trick Daddy- Thug Holiday: This album is a fun listen. Trick improved on his flow alot since his last piece of trash. No dumb singles like "I'm A Thug" on here. Trick making that money. Good album! Thug Holiday has plenty of predictable smoking, freaking and riding, but it's the album's improbable treats...that elevate the plate." The newfound rapper of ghetto anthems has done it again! Includes 2 bonus tracks 'In Da Wind' (Ride Out Mix) & 'Ain't No Santa' (Bonus Mix). Features guest appearances from Cee-Lo (Goodie Mob), Big Boi (Outkast), Scarface & more. 7.25 OUT OF 10

Luniz- Silver & Black: Silver and Black is the Luniz's 3rd album and it shows how far the Luniz have come through the years and how they have developed from when the first started. Hopefully they get a video out on the song that feature Fat Joe (A Piece Of Me) and the Oakland Raiders song. If they could get the team of appear in it I feel it can be a hit. Luniz are on top of their game again. They got 5 on it in 95 and still in 02. With guest appeances by Devin The Dude, C-Bo, Dru Down and more they rip it up on every track. 7.5 OUT OF 10

C Bo- West Coast Mafia: The album is straight-ahead gangsta rap, West Coast Style. C-Bo is so enveloped in and obsessed with the built-in mythology of the gangsta lifestyle that his depiction of it is utterly convincing and immediately arresting. There's very little subtlety at work here; C-Bo's rapping style is full-on, unrelenting and urgent. On every track he sounds like he's anxious to get his message across before he's silenced forever by someone lurking around the next corner. West Coast Mafia is an authentic-sounding slice of gangsta life: claustrophobic, frenetic and full of violent energy. This albums has alot of guest appearances, but C-Bo is the star on every track and continues his legacy as one of the West finest. 8 OUT OF 10
