Cypress Hill- Stoned Raiders: Thoroughly blunted multiracial West Coast pioneers Cypress Hill transformed hip-hop with their eponymous debut album. Now Stoned Raiders, their sixth, looks back on past achievements and clocks up a string of new ones. The metal-powered "Trouble" takes off where their "Rock Superstar" single left off and fixes a mood of embattled reflection aligned to tough determination. "Lowrider" uses an acoustic flamenco guitar to underline the droopy-lidded, easy-rolling side of the band and "Kronologik" tells the story of the group's career and struggles with the help of guest Kurupt. Additional special appearances by Redman, Method Man, and Kokane prove an excellent foil for B Real's patented cartoon style. Throughout they are kept on course by DJ Muggs, still one of the most distinctive studio overlords. His skills are particularly evident counterpointing the anguished lyrics of "Bitter" with multilayered siren voices and waves of dream rock guitar on the luminous percussion of "Memories" and the eerie but impassioned, weed-endorsing "L.I.F.E." They may be fighting their own personal star wars, but the stoned raiders are still winning the battle. 8 OUT OF 10

Ice Cube- Greatest Hits: I will be the first to say that I am one of the biggest Ice Cube supporters out there, and while it is true that Cube has not come as correct as some people would like (The War disc was a classic, Peace was a little weak but it is listenable), he can still bring it harder than about 90% of the new talent that is out now. Bottom line, this album has ALL the great hits that you have come to love from Cube. "Pushin Weight", "It Was A Good Day", "Check Yo Self", "Hello" and many more. There is even 2 new tracks for all the hardcore Cube fans to listen to as the "Don Mega" ponders retirement. So what are you waiting for, pick up your copy today! 9 OUT OF 10

Mack 10- Bang Or Ball: The only thing I can say about this album is damn. This is hot. When I heard Mack 10 was signing wit Cash Money, that was like a shocker to me. Another West Coast artist signing wit a New Orleans click. I really did not think that Mack could pull it off on their label. But anywayz Mack 10 is a perfect fit with Cash Money and will help them shine once again. As for the album it has phat beats. It's about time Mannie Fresh brought in some tight a** beats. Mack 10 can rap good over Fresh's beats. Dr. Dre also throws in a beat for "Hate In Yo Eyes". The Westside Connection cut "Connected 4 Life" is another banger. Of course we have other Cash Money artist on the album such as B.G., Big Tymers, Mikkey, Lac, Stone, Lil' Wayne, and Turk. West Coast artist appear also: X to the Z, E-40, the remaining 2/3 of the Westside Connection, and Butch Cassidy. Also Scarface is on there also (The Cut with Xzibit and Scarface is produced by QDIII and it is hot to def!). Mack 10 has done it again. Now if we can only get a new Technic and a Westside Connection album then we will be set. 8 OUT OF 10
