| I am a freshman at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. I am a music major in the college with a theory/history emphasis. I'm also looking into minoring in anthropology, math, and psychology. Yes, it is possible to do a major and three minors here and still graduate in four years, but I'll probably pick two at most. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| With all these majors and minors I hope to someday become a music teacher! I was originally thinking high school choir director, but after observing preschool music classes, I think that could be really fun, too. I am currently helping out with third and fourth grade general/choral classes twice a week for my Practicum in Music Education class. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I live in Dascomb, Oberlin's *cough* lovliest dorm building. It's really not. But it's really close to everything I need, and there's a dining hall on the first floor, so I like it. | Well, we are now well into spring semester! I am taking 18 credit hours, which is 2 over the limit, plus about 2 more which I'm not getting credit for. So I am really busy! But I love all my classes this semester, even Multivariable Calculus! My teacher, Mr. Young, is really cool. I am taking voice lessons for credit this term with Florence Gill, a fifth year voice and art history major. She's very cool, and extremely helpful. I'm also in a chorus, which I am SO happy about. It's wonderful to be singing so much again! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Another class I am in this term is Medieval and Renaissance Music History. Not only do I finally get to take an academic class with Steve (and beat him once and for all!), but a bunch of our other friends are in the class with us, too! It's a big party! Plus that's probably my favorite time period. Yeah, I'm a music dork. :-) My other classes this term are Music Theory (which I love, except for the keyboard appointments...) and Aural Skills, along with an intro to Psychology class.
