I've seen Tori Amos live in concert at Minneapolis, MN's Northrop Auditorium on Nov 30, 2002 and August 9, 2003. Also saw her at Grand Forks, April 1 at Chester Fritz for her Scarlets Walk tour (the best of the 3 shows I saw). Tori had some of her band with her. She has a way of connecting with the audience that you don't see very often, she is very animated and friendly to her fans. She even performed 2 encores for us! She often does improvs, cover tunes and songs that she's not released on cd. Her piano skills are amazing and her voice is reminiscent of Robert Plant, she is able to convey many emotions. I can only hope that she will continue writing and performing even though she's getting older, 40 years old. She refers to her fans as "ears with feet", very complimentary and grateful of her fans. |
