Family Seniors

 

             In the begning of 19th century    Idikkula Kochu Thommi from "Chothirakunnel " family, Thottakkad,  near Kottayam, migrated to Pulinkunnu in Kuttanad and established Illipparampil family.      He married a girl from Kalasherry family.          Their children were Thressiamma, Kuruvila, Rev. Fr. Chacko Kathanar Sr., Kora, Ouseph and Thommi.      Mar. Louis Pazayaprambil was son of Thressiamma. Kochu Thommi died in the year 1842.

 

His grand son Chev, I.C.Chacko was a famous gramerian,historian and agriculture scientist. His sanskrit grammar book "Panineeya Pradyotham" received "Kendra Sahithya Academy Award"

 

    I.C.Chacko's Cousine Mr. Kakichan (Ouseph Chacko) was a known 'Chathuranga' player. The efforts made by Chev. Chacko and Kakichan to trace the family tree, resulted in many authentic documents about our ancestral history..

 

By the initiative of Chev. I.C.Chacko, his borther's son Mathaichan(I.K.Mathew ) came to Oonnukal, near Kothamangalam in 1908  and established Rubber Plantation there. Mathaichan brought his other cosines to this field.

 

 

I.C.Kora ( wife Aleykutty) was instrumental in developing "Pulimbara Rubber Estate" near Kothamangalam

 

 

I.C.Kuruvila developed a Rubber Estate at Thrikkariyoor, Near Kothamangalam
