Kevin's Coroner's Inquest Completed

On October 28th, the Coroner held an inquest into the accident. None of the Knox County Deputies who had allegedly interviewed participants in the crash testified. The only testimony was by the State Trooper from Peoria who is an accident reconstruction specialist. He said that the truck was about 3 foot into Kevin's lane when the collision occurred. He claimed the bike hit the left front of the S-10, knocking the suspension off the truck causing the truck to flip and slide on it's top for 370 ft. The jury concluded that Kevin died of blunt force trauma. The inquest did not try to assign blame, but to establish cause of death. Now we wait to see if the State's Attorney will do anything as it has been established that the accident occurred from the teenage driver of the truck being in Kevin's lane of travel trying to pass a car.
