Blackjack Zero - Moto Guzzi powered reverse trike

The Blackjack Zero, a reverse trike configuration car, has been around for a while powered by a VW flat four engine. They’ve just come out with a version powered by a Moto Guzzi V-Twin which, to my eye, looks better and fits in the tradition of the old Morgan 3 wheelers. Although they have some photos on their site, it must be a very recent development because all of the information is still about the VW version.

More companies are making variants of these reverse trike 2 seaters but so far my favorite is the ACE Cycle Car. The Blackjack is more of a modern interpretation. Interesting.

A bit like the XLOX tie-down system {link}; here's a motorcycle tie-down system to be used for trailers called DeathGrips.

DeathGrips motorcycle tie down

The basis of these tie-down, in contrast with normal ones, is that they are using rigid, telescoping, rods. The advantage is that there's no movement when driving, holding the motorcycle securely in place.

The DeathGrips are fastened to your handlebars using special clamps. The trailer side is secured by using a pin block installed on the trailer.

The advantages are obvious: it's secure, and easy to set up; Once you've placed the blocks on your trailer, you can secure your motorcycle very fast. great when you need to frequently remove or load your motorcycle on the trailer.

The disadvantage is that you'll need to "adapt" your trailer. Not a biggie, but it means that you can change trailer without removing the pin block.

Prices for the kits are around US$285 and 295, but each component can be purchased separately.
