"Santa Cruz...we go to this band review that's supposed to be 'fun.' First, I buy this itty-bitty hotdog for $2.32...makes the school lunch look quite cheap. Robert, being the only one who bought a ticket, decides to go look for rides, and we walk from one end of the boardwalk to the other again and again doing absolutely nothing Then we split up, and I end up spending most of the afternoon asleep on the beach while Yi-Ren, Amanda, Victor and Jean talk away and Alex and Sophie...well, I won't get into that. Then, I go with Yi-ren for a short walk on the surf, and write 'Boredom' in the sand. I say to him 'If someone walks by and sees this they'd be like WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!!
