BEN EASTER
How does your character Lance fit into the story?
I play the outsider---not really understood---I get along with the click of friends, but I do my own thing. I have always been in love with Amber, but too akward to do anything about it.
Had you seen any of the previous "I Know" installments? What did you think of them?
Years ago. I remember when they came out. I was freaked out by the first one especially.
What attracted you to star in the movie?
The offer. Everybody wants the opportunity to do a Thriller movie atleast once----show off for my kids one day.
What was it like working with Sylvain White, a first-time movie director?
Sylvain White is an exceptional director. He is focused, obtainable, open, actor friendly, and extremely devoted. He is a great up and coming director to keep an eye out for.
Were there any particular cast members that you clicked with on the set? What was it like working with them?
Everybody was great, but I especially clicked with Torrey Devitto. She's a hoot. This girl's gonna blow up.
Did you play any pranks on any of your other cast members, like dressing up as the fisherman and such?
We goofed off all the time. It was just what happened. I am cool without seeing any fake blood for a while!
What do you think fans of the "I Know" series will think of the movie?
It is hard for me to be non-bias. I think it is a great film. It has been a while since the other two, so this one sort of stands alone from the others in a way. Just watch it and enjoy.
What horror icon used to scare you as a kid?
Boris Karloff as "Frankenstein."
Would you ever consider starring in another horror movie after I'll Always Know?
Quite possibly.
Lastly, any upcoming projects?
A few in the works, but nothing solidified...
TORREY DEVITTO
How does your character Zoe fit into the story?
Zoe fits into the story cause its about 4 friends who get into some trouble when a prank goes wrong.
Had you seen any of the previous "I Know" installments? What did you think of them?
Yes I had seen both of them. My favorite was the first one, and they definently had me not wanting to be alone in the dark for the night ha
What attracted you to star in the movie?
I loved the character. She has a really cool punk rock edge that I was attracted to.
What was it like working with Sylvain White, a first-time movie director?
AMAZING! I loved working with Sylvain he was so energetic and pumped and so giving to us as actors it was great!
Were there any particular cast members that you clicked with on the set? What was it like working with them?
All four of us clicked and hung out on our spare time. And even now that we are finished filming I have hung out with some of them.
Did you play any pranks on any of your other cast members, like dressing up as the fisherman and such?
No but Ben tried to scare me by putting a creepy postcard with fake blood on it, which was waiting for me at my front door when i got home! Scared the crap out of me!
What do you think fans of the "I Know" series will think of the movie?
I dont know what they will think. But I hope they enjoy...And get really really scared :)
What horror icon used to scare you as a kid?
MICHAEL MEYERS! (still does)
Would you ever consider starring in another horror movie after I'll Always Know?
Sure. If I really liked the script.
Lastly, any upcoming projects?
Possibly :)
SETH PACKARD
How does your character Roger fit into the story?
Roger idolizes his best friend Colby. He's insecure and feels like he has to do things to make his friends like him -- like dress up as the killer fisherman and scare everyone at a caravel.
Had you seen any of the previous "I Know" installments? What did you think of them?
Oh yeah, I loved them. I watched them with my friends all the time. My best friend was in love with Jennifer Love Hewitt, and I was in love with Sarah Michelle Gellar (after I saw the movie I had this "Buffy" poster of her on my wall for about four years -- my friends still make fun of me)
What attracted you to star in the movie?
The awesome part I got to play. Roger does this total 360 in the movie. He starts out all desperate and clingy, and ends up really angry and suicidal. Very fun to play.
What was it like working with Sylvain White, a first-time movie director?
Sylvain's Great. Very kind, very helpful, and most importantly very energetic about the film. He had so many cool ideas to put in the movie -- rough shots, dark scenes, bloody (no CGI) deaths; he really made the movie. On set, he'd look at you smiling and say, "We're f---ing making movies!"
Were there any paticular cast members that you clicked with on the set? What was it like working with them?
Everyone was really fun to work with. I love just sitting around set talking with people.
Did you play any pranks on any of your other cast members, like dressing up as the fisherman and such?
The closest thing -- besides dressing up as the fisherman as my role in the film -- would be when I threw this bag filled with fisherman gear in a fire. The bag was also filled with liquid cement -- for added effect -- and exploded in the fire. That wasn't supposed to happen. Tons of crap in the fire shot out. Nothing hit me, but a big ol' piece of flaming wood hit Torrey. It was awesome. It freaked the crap out of us. But, it wasn't really intentional.
What do you think fans of the "I Know" series will think of the movie?
I think they'll love it.
What horror icon used to scare you as a kid?
My dad with a belt.
Would you ever consider starring in another horror movie after I'll Always Know?
For sure.
Lastly, any upcoming projects?
Well I just played a US soldier in the film "Fire Creek" that's currently being festivaled around. I have a few other small projects ahead. Mostly I'm excited about a script in college I wrote that I'll be shooting next summer -- I'm really excited about it.
ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE (BANDMEMBER WREN)
What was it like working on the set of "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer"?
It was really cool. To be honest it was a bit of a blur. We drove straight up from Phoenix to Park City, Utah. And only made it there about 4 hours before casting call. Then we didnt get to go on until about 2am. We were really tired, but when the lights hit and it was time to go, we delivered. They said we did a wonderful job, and really re-energized the cast and crew with our performance! For further details check out the illegal podcast where we go into great detail about the whole experience... :)
Even though you only have a small role in the movie, were there any cast members you paticularly clicked with?
Torrey DeVitto. She was really the only one we met though too. She was very cool and super sweet. We were all touched cause she asked us some tips on how to act like a rock star. We gave her some good hints, but it was really Sylvain who inspired confidence in that role that brought that performace to life. They did great work togather!
How did you land your roles in the movie?
As I understand it Sylvain White is a fan of our music to some degree and has used some of our works in the past with some of the projects he was involved with, so he used us again for I'll Always Know... We asked him and the people doing the casting for the film if they needed any bands for the movie. Turns out they did and the rest it history. :)
Have you seen the final cut of the movie? If so, what did you think?
No not yet. So August 15th will be the first day we get to see it! But we are going to throw a huge viewing party in Phoenix, as it turns out "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer", and the video for our new single "The Banana Song" finished about the same time. So we will be viewing both at the same time! It will be out on iTunes very soon! We are very excited to see our movie and video debuts!!!
As professional musicians, who would you say were your inspirations? What song/s do you perform in the movie?
We get inspired all over the place! We are big fans of the Beastie Boys, Prodigy, The Bloodhound Gang, Crystal Method, Black Eyed Peas, Funk, Soul, rock, hip-hop, whatever. We pride ourselves in covering a lot in the musical spectrum. The song they used in the movie was "Step to the Floor" it is a high energy/confrontational type track.
Torrey DeVitto's character "Zoe" is in a band in the movie (i'm assuming yours) - what was it like working with her in paticular?
Actually that was another band that worked with her. We don't really have the look of what her band "The Hearts" would have. But like I said earlier Torrey was very cool, she even kept in contact with us after the film. A very smart intelligent leveled headed lady right there. It was great to get to know her!
Had any of your members seen the first two "I Know" movies? What do you think of them?
Oh you bet! They were really great, I loved how they worked that idea of urban legend into a movie. It was really great to see them keep the legacy going with this installment...
Would any of you ever perform in another horror movie, or other movie, in the near future?
Hahaha being the primdonnas we are I am 100% certain all of the guys would LOVE to be in another movie. This was an awesome experience for us, its something a lot of bands don't get to do. But yes we would love to be in other movies! After conquering a role as difficult as playing ourselves I think we are ready for anything!!!
Can you tell us anything about what scene/s you appear in in the movie?
Well 1st that its short! LOL! But I understand we are such a fun band its hard to make us too scary! I think we really did a good job looking very high energy, and I (Wren) do a lot of screaming on the track so I did my best to look as threatening as possible. But as I understand a very famous lady bites it during our performance! And people are too busy rocking out to Illegal Substance's "Step to the Floor" performace to hear them...Muuuhahaha!!!
Lastly, any upcoming movie/music projects?
Nothing in the movie realm, but when our upcoming album is finished which is expected due out in October, more of that may become available. I would love to work with Sylvain White again! He is a VERY VERY cool guy! But as for right now look for the songs "Banana Song" and "I Want" available out on iTunes about 2 weeks after the movie debuts. Be on the lookout for the Banana Song the video on iTunes, YouTube, and MySpace. Its hilarious!!! And the album is due out around October.
