In the city, the main and the only high school in Albanian language is located. Most of the Albanian teenagers, from all over Monte Negro, come to this high school.  People of Tuzi welcome them, and they try to accommodate in their houses because the high school does not provide or have housing.
The economy of Tuzi is weak. People have their small business  enterprises such as grocery stores, auto-mechanic shops, and other limited enterprises providing some limited services to people of Tuzi. Those enterprises do not have capabilities to employ the entire working force of Tuzi.
Most of the Tuzians get their employment in Podgorica or other towns. The villages around Tuzi have a small fertile land and the farmers hardly can make and provide enough food for the people of this town. Thus, many of Tuzians found their living outside their native land. Many of Tuzians immigrated to USA and other overseas countries.
The city of Tuzi dates since ancient time. The area in and around Tuzi was populated by the Illyrian tribes. In the vicinity of Tuzi, the remains of Illyricum archy facts are found. The archy facts were destroyed or demolished with an order of Communist Party of Monte Negro, and ex Yugoslavia. Nevertheless, there are still some remains that survived the brutality of Slavic Terrorists or Russian gypsies known as Serbians
The name of Tuzi originates from an Albanian wordTu zi meaning cooking.  It has to do with something to  cook. Always, the city of Tuzi got involved in every appraising of Albanian people. Tuzi and Tuzians gave an extraordinary effort in the battle against Ottoman Turkey and for liberation of Albanian territories.
