In This Moment

I was afraid this wouldn’t last, but as I lie here beside you I know what we have is true. As you hold me in your arms and tell me how you’ll never let me go I look into your eyes and fall deeper in love.  Being here entangled with your body feels right and I know I’m not meant to be anywhere else.  I hope you don’t break my heart, because I seriously don’t know if I could endure the pain. I’m so scared of what might happen between us. I’m sorry if I’m holding back but it’s just I’m afraid of loving again. I want to stay with you in this moment forever. Just like you said, never let go.  I can hear your heart beat below me as I feel the rhythm of your chest inhaling oxygen. The contrast of our skin looks beautiful under this light.  Don’t you think? Yet, then again you always look resilient to me.

As you speak softly and your words find their place within me I know why I desire you and adore you so much. It’s much more than pillow talk, its talk from the heart where sincerity rules. Where we bare our naked souls and share our deepest fears. Where we embrace, love, and admire the blessing of having found each other. Where I tell you how much you mean to me and how you complete me.
