"Advertising is a necessary ingredient for informing consumers about the goods and services they need" (Roy Fox; Salespeak (77).

In todays society advertisers use ads in order for their product to sell on the market.

They advertise on billboards, magazine pages, newspapers, television, even on the radio

(although you can not see those)
.
These ads might sometimes use a special celeberty or sports

stars to endorce their product. Such as Tommy Hilfiger in

this ad to the left. He used a popular R&B singer in his ad to

sell his clothing line.
In the ad below however,Tommy

Hilfiger used two models (in "love" ) to

promote his clothing. The picture to the

right he use young children who are

having fun and laughing.
Tommy Hilfiger persuades us into his dream world of fame, love, and

fun. His ads are uplifting and exciting which makes the consumers (us)

vulnerable into buying the products.
