News 6-17-03
Hi everybody.

What a year so far! I can't remember a time in which I have personally played so much in the Midwest and Upper South.  And we thank all of you for coming out and supporting us.

Our
BIG news coming out is that we have just received word that our CD "Enfin" has been nominated by the Cajun French Music Association (based in Lafayette, LA) for "Best Album" by a band outside of LA in 2003.  We all will be going to the international awards festival in Lafayette in August.  We thank those of you who have bought our CD and those of you who just come to listen to us live.  This is a big thing for us since it isinternational recognition of our work.

In other news, be looking to see a new website for Dennis Stroughmatt and Creole Stomp.  We will be starting a mailing list soon, as well as other features for ordering CDs on line and ordering our new Creole Stomp t-shirts which are now available.  We appreciate you buying one and showing your support for Creole, Cajun, and Zydeco Music!!

Also, later in the year John Giffin, Jon Watson, and myself, along with our first bassist Larry Reynolds, will be getting together in C'dale to play a Brown Bagger show.  So to answer some questions, the original Brown Baggers are still together. So if there is anyone else in the Carbondale IL area claiming to be the Brown Baggers that is not us!

Now back to the Enfin CD.  Thanks to Chris Wissman at the Nightlife in Carbondale. They downloaded some of the songs and posted them for me on the Nightlife site.  But I have them right here. Just click on the songs below to begin the download.  Please be patient, it will take about 10 minutes.  So if these songs spark your interest and you want to buy a CD or contact me for a booking....."Come on Down.....the price is right!"  Until next time.
