Week 2 Recap
Déja-Vu: Wolverines on top

The second week of regular season play has come to a close and ILB fans are beginning to expect to see Michigan on the top of the leaderboard.
Now that Coach Jeff Sacks has found a competent closer, Michigan is well on its way to another title. With a 9-2 record, the Wolverines lead the ILB but will they hold up? The answer is no.
Wolverines pitching is good enough to be a contender but they can’t score runs. Michigan has an average of 3 runs a game and although they are off to a great start, they won’t be able to hang on for long.
The Eastern conference is weak enough that Michigan should have no problem making it to the Series. Hopefully the series won’t be rigged, because one rigged World Series a year is enough for me.
Anyway. When Michigan does reach the playoffs they will most likely meet the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Some players will speculate that it is too early to tell however Nebraska was chosen by a unanimous Editorial vote.
Nebraska got off to a 7-5 start with the help of the current ILB Weekly Jimmy V Award winner. Jimmy Craig is the best hitter in the league without a doubt. Craig already leads the league in RBIs (14), Home runs (5), and posts a .313 batting average.
Nebraska's pitching as also been stunning. Brad White shutout the Glenview Cubs in 7 innings of work last Sunday.
