| The new schedule met its first opposition Monday when Chicago Cubs owner Michael Francis LaCassa complained that the schedule was too lopsided. Ball clubs will now play 34 division games and only six non-division games. | ||||||||||||||||||
| "That is an unbelievable, disgusting difference in schedule," said LaCassa. "Any drastic change needed to be voted on to take place." | ||||||||||||||||||
| The Wrigleyville executive helped his team win last years' Eastern Division title and the World Series over Sam Frink's Nebraska Cornhuskers. The new change in schedule can be regarded as a way to ease the four expansion teams into the framework of ILB. | ||||||||||||||||||
| League Commissioner, Jeffrey Richard Sacks, believes that LaCassa is the only owner to feel this way, however; North Carolina Tarheels owner, Jim Tenzillo, believes that the schedule "will create powerhouses which won't be good for ILB." | ||||||||||||||||||
| Whether the change is good or bad can only be decided on by the league' owners. Perhaps a meeting should be scheduled to decide what is the best direction for ILB to go in. | ||||||||||||||||||
