| (This story was originally going to be about Jim Tenzillo's team but he is stupid and so is his team, therefore the story is about the Glenview Cubs in spite of Jim Fourteenzillo) This is what ILB is all about. Wait a second. No its not. Since when did ILB turn into NCAA hoops? Since when did bad teams get victories over good teams for no apparent reason? I don't know, maybe you should ask Glenview Cubs owner Charlie Semar. Actually scratch that, we asked for you. "Young talent is improving. I think that's the big reason that teams that were bad last year are good now," Semar told ILB Weekly. But Semar will be the first to tell you that good managing leads to a good team. The Glenview Cubs finished below-par in two season but they were rebuilding years. And damn did the team rebuild. If you wanted to, you could click here and see all of the trades Semar made to help his team but why would you want to? It would make you sick to see all of the draft picks his team will have in the next years and all of the stuff that he didn't have to give up, because he gave up next to nothing. With all of the PTBNL trades Semar has given little and advanced his team a lot. Some might argue that Glenview's pitching staff is the best in the business. And I'll vouch for that and so will Semar. "Recieving Jim Roat, Jeff Savage, and Domingo Miller was huge. Also Tom Gaines is playing like he used to play which is real important to this franchise," Semar explains. Semar also has a great chance at winning his division this year. It's pretty sad when your division has Jim Tenzillo in second place... (would type but laughter imparing finger dexterity)... hahahaha..... Ok that was a good laugh. What I find even funnier is that Fourteenzillo is so proud of himself because he is in second place and he's still 5 games back. And as everyone else's teams age into retirement homes, Semar's is getting younger by the day. So I introduce to you ILB Weekly's pick for the first dynasty in ILB history, The Glenview Cubs. |
