About the Artist-
Born February 1952, Steve Lambert was an artist from birth. He has always been very talented in the art and music world. In 1989 a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis rocked his world to say the least. He could no longer play the piano or the keyboards, and painting became too stressful with a loss of motor control in his hands. Over time, he has found ways to compensate for the loss of his ability to paint, draw and play instruments. The 1972 VW Westfalia project (as seen on our sister site, www.westierestie.com) has been one BIG project and rebuilding bicycles and donating them to local charities has been another.
In February of 2006 he once again picked up a paintbrush. Having moved to Southeastern Coastal North Carolina in 2004 with his wife Irene, Steve began painting watercolors. In the following pages you will see the beautiful surroundings and scenes around our town and other areas of Onslow County and beyond.
