| First of all, let me just say that I was extremely disapointed in the way Hansons last album "This Time Around" sold. I belive that they deserved a lot more recognition than that. There are a few reasons why I belive this. First off Hanson is not a packaged band or group such as NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, 98degrees, and Dream. They have a tight vocal haromony that can only come from brothers singing together from an early age. Just because MmmBop was a "Bubble Gum" pop song does not mean that they will forever play that particular style of music. They also do not sing about drugs sex and smacking up bitches like most artists, therefore they are not recognized as anything more than a put together boy band that people think they are. For instance the new album has a totally different style from "Middle of Nowhere" their first album. Artists such as Johnny Lang, and John Popper lent their talents to these blond haired angels from Tulsa Oklahoma. That right there proves that they are worth more than they are given credit for. Their new album (This Time Around) has a more mature, blues mixed with classical rock sound that most adults crave. But because of such hits as MmmBop, and Wheres the Love, adults are apprehensive about wheather they will still have a bubble gum sound to them. They hear songs off the new album such as This Time Around, and If Only, and think wow those are pretty good songs, but becaue of Hanson Haters, and the previous MmmBop, they must still be singing slobbering screaming teenage girl pop music. This is not true. I belive that you should listen to them for once (the whole album not just one or two songs) and then determine wheather or not they are worthy of being in your CD player. I belive you might be surprised with what you find out. May I also say that I have nothing against NSYNC, or the Backstreet Boys. I have albums by both. Also so people out there know that im not a slobbering screaming teenager, Im 21 (not very far from teenager status, but still not) I thank you for you time in reading this.
